In this post I'm going to write about my favorite book. Actually, I haven't the only one book that I like the most, I have a few favorite books, but I decided to tell you about "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Safran Foer. This book seemed to me very unusual and interesting when I was reading it.
Firstly, the main character is a child who lost his father during the terrorist attack at 11.09.01. The most part of the story the author tells to readers how this boy is trying to live through this tragedy. In my opinion, he's trying to understand how such a terrible thing thing could happen to such a cool guy as his father was. During all story this boy, Thomas, remembers how he came from school because of canceled lessons and heard the phone ringing. Even at that moment he understood or maybe feels that it was his father calling. He knew that he was at the Trade Center at that moment, but he only stays and even couldn't move to answer the call.
The second thing, that I liked in this book, is that from the first sight it's seemed that the boy's tragedy is the only one in this book, but after reading all book, you understand, that all his relatives, even his disappeared grandfather, have their own tragedies. Every of Thomas' relatives somewhen lost his or her very close men. But some of them could live through it, but others couldn't and live all life at the past.
So, I'd like to advise everyone to read this book.
